Four people were killed in a shooting at an office building in Orange, California on Wednesday. The victims included a child. Two others were injured in the attack. Officers responded to sounds of gunshots in the 200 block of West Lincoln Avenue in the city at around 5.30pm, the police said.
The injured included the suspect. One female victim in critical condition and the injured suspect was taken to a hospital nearby.
The office building, where the shooting took place contains numerous businesses. This is the third multi-victim shooting in the US in three weeks. Eight people, including six of Asian descent, lost their lives in a shooting in Atlanta on March 16.
Less than a week later, a man opened fire at a supermarket in Boulder, Colorado, killing 10 people; on March 26, eight people were injured after a fight in Virginia Beach led to a shooting. There was another shooting, in which a policeman was involved.
President Joe Biden, after the shooting at Colorado, had said he would take executive action to bypass Congress and introduce stricter gun regulations, Republicans have for a long time, stopped any attempts to enact reforms in gun laws in its tracks.
