House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is in big, big trouble over her recent comments.

After former Minneapolis police Officer Derek Chauvin was convicted of murder and manslaughter in the death of George Floyd, Pelosi thanked Floyd “for sacrificing your life for justice.”

“And thank God, the jury validated what we saw, what we saw,” Pelosi said in front of the U.S. Capitol Building as she delivered remarks with the Congressional Black Caucus.

“So, again, thank you George Floyd for sacrificing your life for justice. For being there to call out to your mom. How heartbreaking was that? To call out to your mom, ‘I can’t breathe,’” she added.

“But because of you – and because of thousands, millions of people around the world who came out for justice – your name will always be synonymous with justice,” she abhorrently added.

Her statement was quickly slammed on social media.

Many said it was tone-deaf, argued she should not treat Floyd as a sacrificial lamb, and even called for her to resign.
