Former US President Donald Trump has once again popped up to comment on professional sports, urging a boycott of Major League Baseball (MLB) after the league announced that it was moving this summer’s All-Star game out of Atlanta in response to voting restrictions in Georgia.
Trump has previously had run-ins with the other major sports leagues in North America, being particularly critical of players engaging in Black Lives Matter protests.
The former president claims he is not the only baseball fan upset by recent events in the league and sent a warning to major companies who have also criticised Georgia’s voting laws.
“Baseball is already losing tremendous numbers of fans, and now they leave Atlanta with their All-Star Game because they are afraid of the Radical Left Democrats,” said Trump.
“[We should] boycott baseball and all of the woke companies that are interfering with Free and Fair Elections.
“Are you listening Coke, Delta, and all!”
In the last year or so, Trump has also targeted the NFL for allowing players to protest the national anthem and the NBA, who he labelled a “political organisation” after it allowed teams to suspend matches in response to police brutality.
President Trump has reportedly called for the boycott of several companies who support the woke culture agenda.
